Tanzania has several airports, although the most common access points are Julius Nyerere International Airport (Dar es Salaam) on the coast and Kilimanjaro International Airport in the northeast of the country, or have connections from Jomo Kenyatta Airport (Nairobi, Kenya).
Safari guests can fly to both destinations and connect to wild airstrips with scheduled light aircraft flights. A typical route is to climb Kilimanjaro where GENAU GUIDES Limited will be waiting to take you to Arusha where you will spend the night. Early in the morning you can take one of the many flights from Arusha Airport (ARK) and follow the safari route. In the south, guests arriving in Dar es Salaam can take connecting light aircraft flights to Arusha or the southern parks of Selous or Ruaha, depending on arrival time. For trips to remote western parks, flights depart only twice a week and take up to five hours to reach their destination.
