It’s usually still rainy in early May, but as the moon progresses things dry up and road repairs continue, making it easier to travel around the park and country by car over time. Forests and vegetation look in good condition after the rainy season with many predators thanks to the abundant food and water.

Safaris in Tanzania are still cheap before the main summer season begins. If you’re lucky you’ll enjoy a few consecutive days of sunshine, but by nature nothing is guaranteed.
