Tanzania Safari Channel was established following an order from President John Pombe Joseph Magufuli during a visit to the agency’s headquarters on May 16, 2019, where he ordered the existence of a channel that will feature tourist attractions.

The channel was created in partnership with the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) and other tourism players, including the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) and the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB).

The process of creating this channel also included meetings with private sector actors whose activities are related to tourism issues.
