Climb Africa’s highest mountain and the world’s highest free-standing mountain, Kilimanjaro. Conquer the roof of Africa, located 5,895 meters (19,340 feet) above sea level.

Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano with three volcanic cones, Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira. They have been studied extensively for their stunning landscapes of shrinking glaciers and vanishing ice fields.
The snow-capped mountain in Kilimanjaro National Park in Tanzania is truly a sight to behold. The mountain dominates southern Africa with a backdrop that stretches to the horizon and into neighboring Tanzania.

The highest point, Uhuru Peak, is a challenging but rewarding climb with a 97% success rate and over 30,000 summits per year. Mountaineers choose from seven different routes, each with different degrees of difficulty from five to nine days. Each route encounters varied landscapes, from Afro-montane forest to silvery glacial valleys, alpine desert and even the rugged Kibo Caldera and Ash Pit.

Hikers are accompanied by experienced professional guides and a team of porters who set up tents with comfortable mattresses. The excitement of climbing this majestic mountain lies in knowing you are at the highest point of the African continent. And for those brief moments, you are literally above the world.
