On this Safari we will take you to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its elephant families and iconic baobab trees. Roaming onwards we experience the jewel that is Ngorongoro Crater, breathtakingly beautiful, and the best place in Tanzania to see the big five.
Arrival in Arusha
You will be picked up from the airport by a Genau Guides Limited representative and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Our safari guide will collect you from the lodge in Arusha for the drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and home to the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river like giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely accompanied by a range of predators, our Panthera friends, and lions. From the open roof of the jeep, you will have the opportunity to observe the landscapes and view the wildlife.
After a full day in the park we will drive to the excellently appointed lodge at (Karatu) where you will enjoy dinner in the aesthetically delightful restaurant, relax, and spend the night in capacious rooms.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
Rise and shine! It’s an early departure for you to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the seven wonders of Africa. Once we have reached the crater rim, we rumble down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera, noting our passage through several climactic zones, to see a range of animals and birds. The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard, to hippo, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, elephant, hyena, and more than 500 species of birds. . We leave the crater in the late afternoon driving up the steep winding track to return to our lodge for dinner, enjoying conversation, and a reviewing in the mind’s eye the images of the wilds occurred during the day before retiring for our well-earned rest.

Day 3: Local Activities
After breakfast in the morning before you come to an end of your adventure, on this day you will have a chance to taste and experience the local activities at Mto wa Mbu, this place is known for its heritage of different 120 tribes that are found here in Tanzania. You will be able to visit the locals and see how our local food is made starting doing shopping from the local market till the table is set. You will also have an opportunity to visit the famous tribe ‘Maasai and experience their unique culture and history”. In the afternoon soon after lunch we wend our way back to Arusha ready for the flight back home, with our adventure at an end, replete with images of the African Wilds to take through our lives journey.
